SACRO origins<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

SACRO is the acronym for the South African Community Radio Organization<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

SACRO was the brainchild of Takalane Nemangowe and Trevor La Grange, who first discussed the formation of SACRO on 11 May 2018 at the Wimpy in Sandton City<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

SACRO was registered with the CIPC as a NPC (Non Profit Company) on 28 June 2018<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What SACRO is all about<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Assist its members and the sector to reduce operating costs<\/em><\/li>\r\n
  2. Assist its members and the sector to obtain advertising contracts<\/em><\/li>\r\n
  3. Assist its members and the sector with MDDA and other funding applications<\/em><\/li>\r\n
  4. Assist its members and the sector with appropriate training<\/i> interventions<\/li>\r\n
  5. Assist its members and the sector with legal\/regulatory\/compliance<\/i> issues<\/li>\r\n
  6. Represent and promote the interests of its members and of the sector<\/i> at industry forums<\/li>\r\n
  7. Develop a technical support structure<\/i> that will service the ICT needs of its members and of the sector on a non-profit basis<\/li>\r\n
  8. Keep its members and the sector up to date with technological trends<\/i><\/li>\r\n
  9. Assist its members and the sector to become technologically future proof<\/i> (digital sound broadcasting ready)<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n
